Short way from a tram stop, perfect for me. You won't be disappointed if you stay in Potsdam West district. You can eat at Zeppelin, which is set 900 feet away from the property...

Great facilities and an incredibly nice breakfast with many varieties.

Althought it is said on the reservation form"Spacious suite offering separate living/sleeping areas and private balcony,for two persons", no separate room was available, it was only a large standard room

We had a lovely time at Hotel am Havelufer, local walks to the castles and town centre; also an action packed day trip to Berlin. The advantage was coming back to peace and quiet next to the river.The staff were most helpful.

With the long daylight and sunshine the strip-curtains let in a lot of light.

Hotel Staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. Free Wi-fi internet throughout the hotel. Very nice decor and close proximity to the train station.

Breakfast was way too expensive (15 euro/day) and parking was expensive as well (10 euro/day)

The hotel's breakfast options were quite pleasant and diverse.

The room we booked was in poor condition, with mold present on the furniture.

The bed was comfortable, the lift was fast, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, it is quiet and close to public transport.

I was disappointed that there were no in-room tea/coffee-making facilities. I did not take buffet breakfast in the hotel because I thought a 15 euro charge per person quite excessive. I did not like the greedy cancellation policy.

The reception team was friendly and helped with everything I needed . I appreciated the comfortable bed, made for a good night's sleep after a long drive.

The grassy area for pets was nice, but it lacked adequate dog waste bins.

Hotel is located close to Potsdam City Centre with trams & buses located directly at main entrance making access to all the tourist sites extremely easy. Also only a couple of minutes walk from Charlotenhoff train station - on the shuttle line to Berlin Schoenfeld Airport - absolutely no need for a car. Hotel is also overlooking the Havel river in a very peaceful & relaxing setting. Decor is modern, minimalistic, quirky & colourful - might not be to everyone's taste.

Breakfast not included in the room rate - there is a charge of €15 per head for breakfast which is very overpriced compared with most of what is available in Potsdam. The 'bar' area is not very inviting or comfortable & service was very lack lustre.

Price of breakfast, no family rooms

We loved the boat trips along the Havel and the sightseeing tour bus that stopped right outside the hotel. The kids' corners filled with games kept everyone entertained. Great views and comfortable rooms.

One downside was the carpets in the lobby area, affecting the overall first impression.
